The first train from New Delhi is at 5:00 AM and the last at 11:40 PM; from Yashobhoomi Dwarka Sector 25 the first is at 4:40 AM and the last at 11:15 PM. That 4:40 AM start is the earliest anywhere on the Delhi Metro, since the line serves flights. Trains run every 10 minutes throughout the day.

The Airport Express is designed specifically for airport-bound travellers. It connects New Delhi Railway Station (the city's main rail hub) to IGI Airport via Shivaji Stadium (near Connaught Place), Dhaula Kuan (Ring Road junction), and Delhi Aerocity (airport hotels and offices). The 2023 extension to Yashobhoomi (Dwarka Sector 25) connects to India's new international convention centre.
Bus connections along the Airport Express
New Delhi station is surrounded by hundreds of DTC routes and is adjacent to the Yellow Line for metro connections across Delhi. Dhaula Kuan connects to Ring Road buses and routes to South Delhi. Delhi Aerocity has dedicated shuttle services to airport terminals and hotel shuttles. Dwarka Sector 21 connects to the Blue Line for West Delhi and Noida.
Travel tips
The Airport Express is the fastest way to reach the airport from central Delhi — 20 minutes from New Delhi to IGI Airport station, which connects via a walkway to Terminal 3. For Terminal 1, take the Magenta Line instead. Luggage is allowed on all trains with dedicated racks. Some airlines offer city check-in at New Delhi station — check availability before your flight.
